Business News Wales
To assist Business News Wales to secure funding to support ambitious expansion plans. Verde would need to provide a range of services to include creation of a financial model and financial projections, source and negotiate with relevant funders and present the business plan and projections to secure the fundraising.
Verde began with a consultation exercise to understand the business fully and the need for funding. Verde developed a detailed financial model to understand and assess the company's revenue model, recruitment planning, expenditure profiles and cash-flow implications. Preparation of a detailed investment memorandum was also carried out in conjunction with the financial projection exercise. Verde then presented the information to relevant funders.
Verde liaised with the company's preferred funder, Development Bank of Wales, to interrogate the business model and arrive at a deal structure suitable for all parties. The successful outcome was securing the desired funding amount of £200,000 for Business News Wales to help them realise their growth ambitions.
